Tennis

The Ryecroft Tennis section maintains a friendly club atmosphere whilst continuing to invest in the latest playing surfaces. We have five top grade artificial grass courts (laid in 2006 / 2007), four of which are floodlit, allowing for play all year round.

New members are very welcome, regardless of age, standard or experience.

Our competitive subscription includes all court time and good standard balls to play with. We only operate a court booking

Coaching

system for floodlit winter tennis.

An added bonus of membership is that as we are affiliated to the LTA we receive a number of Wimbledon tickets, for distribution via a member ballot

Social Tennis

Club Tournaments

Sarah offers a variety of individual and group coaching for everyone from beginner to expert, adults and juniors. She also runs junior tennis camps during the Easter, Whit and Summer holidays.

"Turn up and mix-in" sessions are held year round on Friday nights (from 7pm) and Sunday mornings (from 9am).
Organised fours are held every Wednesday night (from 7.30pm) from August to April
All standards are welcome. A small charge is made to cover floodlight costs.

Tournaments are held throughout the year, including Senior, Junior and Vets tournaments covering singles, doubles and mixed doubles.

The main event is the Annual Tournament run in June (for Juniors) and September (Seniors)

Team Tennis

We offer a range of teams for adults and juniors during both the summer and winter.

Summer (Adults)

We run eight teams in the North East Cheshire Lawn Tennis League each year.

Men - Divisions 1, 4A, 4B, 6A Ladies - Divisions 1, 4A, 4B, 6

Summer (Juniors)

Six junior teams are run in the summer season: Boys Under 13, 15 (x2) and 18 and Mixed Under 15 and 18 teams

Winter (Adults)

We run five mixed teams in the North East Cheshire Winter League, the teams being in Division 1, 4 (2 x teams) and 9 (2 x teams)

Others

In addition we also enter teams into many other events including the Acton Cup, Cheshire Shield (seniors and vets) and a number of junior tournaments.
